Day 28 - 40 Days For Life

"You have heard it was said, 'you shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." -- Matthew 5:43-44

7He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.

8 By oppression a]">[a] and judgment he was taken away.
And who can speak of his descendants?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was stricken. b]">[b]

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes c]">[c] his life a guilt offering,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

11 After the suffering of his soul,
he will see the light of life d]">[d] and be satisfied e]">[e] ;
by his knowledge f]">[f] my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, g]">[g]
and he will divide the spoils with the strong, h]">[h]
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 53:7-12

Jesus suffered much for our sake. He responded by praying for those who sinned against Him.
Surely when you stand for life and Jesus Christ you will be opposed. Sometimes the oppositon is so strong you may wish to give up or respond with anger and accusation. You may want to justify and defend yourself. Let God be your defense and His word be your authority. I am often amazed that people who face severe persecution for their faith in Jesus respond by praying for those who persecute them. God tells us in His word that we are to love our enemies. At times it is difficult enough to love our family and friends. I believe that God will provide all we need if we are willing to do as He commands us. I do pray for the peace, strength and encouragement of all those who are praying outside of abortion facilities. I pray that God will use them mightily and that many, many babies will be saved. I pray that if they are faced with opposition that they will respond with the Love, Grace and Mercy of the Lord God our Savior.

CHANGING ONE HEART FOR MANY WEEK 9

"I had no idea...did you? Norma McCorvey - "Jane Roe" - a woman whose personal quest for a legal abortion set into motion the deaths of over 50 million U.S. babies, had an encounter with God that changed her heart forever. She's now able to use her incredible history and testimony to speak for LIFE. Why? Because she's been forgiven, changed...healed."

Day 14 - 40 Days For Life

Then When Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.
Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furloughs off:
And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
John 11: 17-22

The widow of Nain about to bury her son and along comes Jesus who has compassion on her.
This woman has lost her husband and now she is burying her only son. She has lost all support.
Then Jesus gives life to the son and delivers him back to his mother.
Prayer is like giving birth to the promises of God. We often describe something we want to see take place as birthing it in prayer. To some this day it may seem like our prayers for the unborn have had no effect. Some may feel defeated and hopeless. Our God will not leave us hopeless. Our prayers have not fallen to the ground but have been heard by the very ears of God. God and God alone is able to give life to that which has died or appears to have died.
Keep pressing on in prayer and intercession for the unborn. Have faith in God. Do not be discouraged:
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. and he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Then said the Lord, Thou has had pit on the gourd, for the which thou has not laboured neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night.
And should not I spare Nineveh, the great city, wherin are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle.

Compassion:- deep awareness of the suffering of another
Fear- reason for dread-aprehension

We are called as believers to love others. Whether they return the love or not does not determine who we are called to love. Someone who is considering an abortion, someone who has had an abortion and those who participate in abortion may not respond in kind to your love for them. Love is not always reciprocated. Can we show compassion to those who do not love us in return? Can we share with them the reason to dread making wrong choices? Apart from Jesus this would be difficult if not impossible. But through the love of Jesus that is shed abroad in our heart we are able to bestow both compassion and share the truth with love, mercy and boldness.
Ask the Lord to teach us how to love others. Perhaps we ourselves need to experience the love that Jesus has for us. Ask Him. Then ask Him to use you to love others. Thank you Lord Jesus for your unmeasurable love that is poured out toward us.

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungoldy lust.
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
And of some have compsasssion, making a difference:
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire: hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you fautless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power,
both now and ever. Amen.

The Lord God almighty places value on our lives. He is aware of all that we are and all that we do. He is our loving Fatherand creator and He loves us. We don exist unnoticed by Him.

O LORD, thou has searched me, an known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word in my tongue, but , lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
Thou has beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Psalms 139: 1-6

God will never leave us nor forsake us. We are always on His mind and always in His sight. Our God is a very personal God.

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from they presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea:
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee
Psalms 139: 7-12

It is God our creator who formed us. He knew us as we were being formed in the womb and knows each and every part that makes who we are. God is always aware of us. He hasn't called us to be strangers to Him. He invites us to know Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We are not an accident to God. He delighted in creating us.

For thou has possessed my reins; thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in the book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
Psalm 139: 13-18

Heavenly Father I thank you that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. I thank you that your eyes are upon us and that we are not hid from you. I ask you Father to forgive us for not valuing life and recognize that all life is a gift from you our Loving Creator. I ask you Lord Jesus to pour out your Holy Spirit to bring us into agreement with your will concerning life. I pray Father that every expectant parent be filled with your Joy of the life that has formed within them. I ask Father God for your grace, mercy, peace, strength, provision, and wisdom be poured out upon them. I ask you Jesus to fill them with Love for their child and for each other. I ask for this in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

Day 8 - 40 Days For Life

If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

For decades there have been those who are standing in the gap for the unborn. They have raised their prayers, their voices to the Lord for the unborn. They have petitioned the government on behalf of the unborn. They have spent hours praying and counseling in front of the abortion clinics. They have reached out to parents who were/are considering abortion. They have reached out and offered compassion and counseling for those who are suffering the consequences of abortion. They have worked tirelessly to make us all aware of the danger of abortion. They have worked hard to make alternatives to abortion available.
They have loved much. They have done all as if unto Jesus.
For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee: or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25: 35-40

There are those who live there lives being good people. People who would not abort a child and profess to be pro-life. But beyond that they do little to save a child or minister to the adults involved in an unwanted pregnancy. They don't seem to get involved at any level. They don't engage their community and sphere of influence in standing for life. They do not write/phone government officials about standing for life. They do not support Crises Pregnancy Centers. They seem to just ignore the problem and perhaps hope that it will just somehow disappear.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righeous into life eternal
Matthew 25:41-46

There are those who will say that they didn't know about the reality of abortion. They did not understand that there was truly life in some woman's womb. They will say that they believed it was not their business to inflict their faith upon another.

Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die;
save them as they stagger to their death
Don't excuse yourself by saying, "Look, we didn't know."
For God understands all hearts, and He sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
Proverbs 24:11-12

Heavenly Father I pray that you will bless those who have been tirelessly standing in the gap for life. I ask that you renew their strength, refresh and restore them. I pray that they will not be weary of well doing. I ask Lord that you forgive those of us who have not responded to your call to stand for life. I ask Lord that you will direct those of us who do not know what it is that we are to do to protect life. Lead us Lord in the way that we are to go. I pray that we would be yielded to you and your purpose. Help us to be part of your plan. I pray Father God for your zeal for life will be present in our hearts and minds. I ask that your Holy Spirit will lead us in all truth and wisdom concerning abortion. I ask Lord Jesus that you will unite the body of Christ to stand for life. Help us dear Lord to confess, repent and get on with doing the Fathers will. I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior

Day 7 - 40 Days for Life

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

What is our character and reputation among others? Does the way we live our lives cause others to seek us out? Do others approach us and ask us for truth? If so how do we respond? Do we lead them out of their misunderstanding by standing on our ground? Do we take them to the solid foundation of the Word of God? Or do we remain on their territory? As we share the Word of God with them do we stop and ask them questions? Do we then continue to work with them so that their eyes will be open? Do we tell them to look up or do we keep their eyes on us?

Mark 8:22-25 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restore, and saw every man clearly.

Paul was an intellectual and pious man. He absolutely believed in his cause and believed that he was serving God. Many of those that are active in the abortion industry believe that their cause is just. Paul went before the high priest to go to Damascus in order to pursue and slaughter Christians. Proponents of abortion go before our government not only to keep abortion legal but to go beyond that which is already legal. Jesus met Paul in a miraculous way on the road to Damascus. Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday. Jesus is more than able to change hearts and minds. Jesus knows who is His. Jesus knows the heart of man. Jesus can change the heart of the most zealous proponent of abortion.
Ananias, a disciple of Christ Jesus responds-that he has heard of Paul and knows the authority that Paul was given by the high priest. But Jesus tells Ananias to go to Paul because Paul is a chosen vessel unto Him. Ananias obeys What would our response be if Jesus sent us to speak to someone who perhaps could do us some real harm? What if the CEO of your company was a strong supporter of abortion and the Lord said go to him? How much do we trust God and how much are we willing to risk? Turns out that Paul was even more zealous for Jesus Christ than He had been for persecuting Christians.

Acts 9: 1-18 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sigh, and neither did eat nor drink. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold I am here, Lord And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priest to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that apeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

Pray for those who perform abortions and those whose work it is to promote abortions. Pray that they will have a revelation of the work that they do. That the Word of God will pierce their heart. That they will know that the Lord Jesus forgives all those who call upon His name. That they will become strong voices for life. That they will be a zealot for life.

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For,lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. LUKE 1: 41-44

God created man in His own image, He formed us in the womb and it is through His Holy Spirit that Mary conceived and gave birth to the Son of God, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. God is very much involved with us from time we are conceived. He is the God of the Living.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over allthe earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:26-27

Before I formed the in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremiah 1:5

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in the womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therfore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Luke 1:31,35

Heavenly Father we pray for all the children who are in the womb and even those who are being conceived today and will be conceived in the days ahead. We ask you Father the comfort them in the womb, to strengthen them and to protect them. We ask you that they will have life and that more abundantly. We ask you that you speak to the hearts and minds of the parents of each child and encourage them to carry each baby to term. Father I pray that each parent would love their children and care for them. Father for those parents who are willing to carry the baby to term but unable to raise their own child - I pray that you will find loving homes for each child. Father I pray that the body of Christ will reach out to parents who are in need of your love, compassion and mercy. That you will use us to minister to them and provide for their needs according to your will and purpose. I thank Heavenly Father for your great compassion and mercy. I pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:26-27

God the creator of all things created man in His image. Not only did God create us in His own image He gave us authority over all the earth. With authority comes responsibility of that which is given into our hands. If God expects us to have authority over things upon the earth such as cattle then how much more does He expect us to care for those who were made in His Image? Abortion brings not only suffering to the child but to all those who participate in this evil. The parents of the aborted child often suffer -sometimes in silence. They need to know that their is forgiveness through Jesus Christ. The world suffers the loss of a wonderful life that we will not get to share here on earth. A society that does not respect the sanctity of life is a sick society indeed. We cannot fix what is wrong with our nation by resolving the economic crises. We have shed innocent blood - we are guilty before the Lord God Almighty-we need to seek the Lord and repent of this sin. This shedding of innocent blood in not a sacrifice that is required by the Lord Our God. Jesus and Jesus alone was the atonement - the final sacrifice. So to what and to whom are we sacrificing these innocent ones? To fear, to poverty, to selfishness, to greed, to pride, to abuse, to insecurity, - Who is the god of all these things? Who is the god of this earth, the god of the air? Who sought to kill Moses and killed many infants? Who sought to kill Jesus and slaughtered children under the age of 2?
There is certainly forgiveness and that is through Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. But we must call sin as sin, we must confess our part and repent. The shed blood of Jesus Christ is the only blood that will heal, forgive, and deliver. Come to the cross and receive the freedom of the forgiveness of the Lord.
Father God I pray that we would no longer be silent-that we would hear what the Spirit is saying and be obedient to your will. That the authority that you give us through Jesus Christ would be used to protect the life that you have created, that life that you made in your own image. Heavenly Father direct us, guide us and give us wisdom on your heart, your mind and your will on how we are to protect life and walk in your authority. Father let you love be poured out of us for those mothers and fathers who are hurting because they made the choice to abort their child. I pray Father that your mercy, grace, love and compassion will be poured out over them. I ask Father for all those who you have gifted to serve you in the medical community will be moved to speak up for life and speak out against abortion. I ask you Father that you work in us to do your will. I ask Lord that you will bring an end to abortion in America and throughout the world. I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior.
