Praying for the Persecuted Church

My heart is not only for the pre -born but also for those who are persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ. In many countries in the world it is dangerous to be a Christian. In some countries being a Christian could mean being shunned by your family and community, loss of income and property, imprisonment, beatings, torture and sometimes even execution. Please join me in praying for those who are persecuted.

Attacks against Iraqi Christians appear to be increasing, according to AsiaNews. On Dec. 30, a Christian deacon, Zhaki Homo Bashir, was shot by a group of unknown men as he entered his shop in the district of al Jadida, in Mosul. He was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital. AsiaNews also received a report that a Christian was killed on Christmas Eve; Basil Isho Youhanna was shot in front of his house in northern Mosul.
Mosul has been the target of several church bombings in recent months. In two separate incidents, two churches were bombed in Mosul on Dec. 23, killing one Christian and two Muslims and leaving several injured. On Dec. 15, two churches and a school were targeted in bomb attacks, killing one and wounding 40. Two other churches were bombed on Nov. 26. Continue Reading @ Be A Voice

New Pro Life Website Launched

Today the Pro-Life Action League launched a newly designed website. The most striking feature of the new site is an exciting new design, but the most significant change is the incorporation of a new blog.

The new “Pro-Life Hotline Blog”—named with a nod to my father Joe Scheidler’s call-in newsline—will allow the League staff to offer pro-life news and commentary more quickly and effectively than ever before. It will also allow visitors to the site to comment on pro-life issues.

Heavenly Father it is the beginning of a New Year for us and I pray that we will seek your guidance as to how we are to stand for life. I pray that you will guide and direct our steps. I ask you to raise up voices for the pre born. That this will be the generation that brings an end to abortion. I ask that our hearts and minds will be set upon you and we will stand for life from cradle to grave. I ask that your Holy Spirit will stir the heart of our nation to repentance for the way we have disregarded life. Father raise up those who will stand in the gap for this nation. In Jesus Name I Pray!
