Changing One Heart For Many

Changing One Heart For Many

Remember to Pray- Changing One Heart For Many-visit the site for this weeks focus. http://travelingtheroadhome.blogspot.com/2009/05/changing-one-heart-for-many-week-17.html

Jesus tell us to love our enemies, pray for those who persecute you and to forgive each other.
The testimony of many who are persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ often includes how they love, pray and forgive those who have persecuted them. Yet I confess at times I have difficulty forgiving even the most petty of offenses. Unforgiveness weighs heavily upon us. As the Lord searches my heart people and offenses I thought I had forgiven are still there deep in my heart. What is this fear to totally let go and forgive...to be completely yielded to Jesus?
If I cannot forgive those I love how will I find the way to forgive those who are strangers? How can I effectively pray for leaders, our nation, for anyone while holding unforgiveness in my heart.
Yesterday my pastor had a conversation with me regarding my need to forgive those who personally offended me...then this morning I read the heart felt words in Changing One Heart For Many and know that I need to forgive and I know that I need the Lord to help me work through it all.
